Ist ja nicht nur ein Weststadt-Thema – mehr dazu hier!

Martina schenkte mir vor (wahrscheinlich mehr als) 30 Jahren die Uhr im Weckerlook. Und nun nach der langen Zeit auf einmal: Dauernd Unsinnsuhrzeitanzeigen. Morgens Uhrzeit eingestellt, mittags hinkt die Anzeige 1 Stunde hinterher 😥 Batterie? Hing lose drin. Richtig eingesetzt – Weile später 2 Stunden Rückstand! Ich nehme die Uhr, drehe und wende sie und sehe die Ursache des Übels: Stundenzeiger hatte sich auf der Welle gelockert. Das Problem hatten wir vor ein paar Jahren auch schon mal an der Bärchenküchen-Küchenuhr, hab' ich repariert.

Also ab in meine Uhrmacherwerkstatt – Photo: Uhr und ein Teil der Werkzeug-Ausrüstung – nach getaner Arbeit!

1. Rückwand abgeschraubt

War ganz einfach! 3 Kreuzschlitzschrauben (Schraubendreher nicht auf dem Photo) 'rausgedreht, Wand ab und – tja, da geht's nicht weiter. Oder warte – da gucken 2 Plexi-Nupsis in den Bereich, die wohl die "eigentliche" Uhr (Ziffernblatt, Zeiger ...) im schwarzen Gehäuse halten. Also:

Aber wie? Meine Kraft an einem dünnen Schraubendreher reichte nicht, um die Nupsi-Riegel weit genug 'reinzudrücken. Also

Damit hatte ich im Uhrgehäuse ein "Gegenlager", um mit einer breiten Schraubendreherklinge und Drehbewegung einen Nupsi weit genug 'reinzudrücken. Aber keine Möglichkeit, die "Eigentliche Uhr" nach vorn herauszudrücken. Also zum ...

Ich sehe da gleich erst mal einen Zeichensetzungsfehler⁉

Das sind ja keine vollständigen Sätze, sondern "Ausrufe"!

Aber was soll's.

Und Ist ja auch Englisch dabei! Und Englisch ist hip, fortschrittlich, smart – da will BS natürlich dabei sein. Aber reicht dafür ein Slogan auf Englisch? Ich denke nicht. Aber lassen wir das erst mal.

Und weiter!

Hier: "... voller Möglichkeiten für die individuellen Erfolgsgeschichten ihrer Bürgerinnen und Bürger – ihrer Löwinnen und Löwen. Sie machen Braunschweig zu der Stadt, die sie ist: Die City of Lions." Also sind "wir" die Löwen?

Also Löwen gelten ja gemeinhin erst mal als majestätisch, machtvoll, quasi unbesiegbar, ... Und Löwinnen durchaus als liebevolle Mütter. Obwohl – beispielsweise bei der Verteidigung der Jungen gegen aggressive Männchen – könnten die sich von Bärinnen sicher noch eine Scheibe abschneiden.

Dann gelten Löwen noch als stolz – na ja! Ist das nun wirklich eine positive Eigenschaft?

Aber auch ungünstige "Charaktereigenschaften" muss man diesen Tieren zuschreiben: Männchen fressen ihre Stiefkinder, sind Wildpinkler und brüllen herum, um ihr Revier zu markieren, das bisweilen zugeschriebene Attribut "königlich" finde ich für die gegenwärtige Epoche eher negativ besetzt.

Und wenn ich mir Tierfilme über Löwen so anschaue – die meiste Zeit des Tages liegen sie herum, dösen im Schatten. Wenn das unser Kanzler mitbekommt 😉

Also alles in allem eher durchwachsen. Und es gibt sehr sehr viele Gebiete (eigentlich eine geradezu endlose Liste), auf denen ich – also Menschen allgemein – Löwen Haus-hoch überlegen sind.

Und da soll ich mich nun geschmeichelt fühlen, wenn mich jemand "Löwe" nennt?

Und überhaupt – was will oder kann oder soll uns der Englische Slogan nun wirklich sagen? Ich frage mal Leute, die sich auskennen. Siehe unten!

Das war gestern kurz nach Sonnenuntergang toll. Ich lag auf dem Sofa, schaute aus dem Fenster, als ich plötzlich eine Vorführung akrobatische Flugkunststücke in den Baumwipfeln sah. Überlegte total verdutzt: Da können doch nicht schon die allerersten Schwalben aus dem Süden zurück sein? Dann fiel endlich der Groschen: Fledermäuse 😍! Isidor und seine Kumpels!

Isidor? Das kam so:

Eine Weile hatten wir die Angewohnheit, Abends vor dem Einschlafen "zum 'runterkommen" noch ein Kinder-Einschlafmärchen zu hören. Eines davon handelte von einer Haselmaus-Fledermaus-WG. Und die Fledermaus hieß gemäß unserer beider Erinnerung Isidor. Aber das Kinderhörspiel war sicherlich dieses Ohrenbär-Kinderhörspiel – mit Haselmaus Cindy und Fledermaus Immanuel. Schietegal, wir werden die Fledermäuse vor dem Balkon weiter "Isidor und seine Kumpel•innen" nennen! Gibt ja auch noch Isidor Mausohr Und ich war über die unerwartete Fledermaussichtung richtig glücklich.

War wenig im Einsatz, seit Martinas Gesundheitsunfall nach meiner Erinnerung gar nicht mehr. Solche Sachen wie unsere legendäre Schatzberg-Schlittenfahrt kann sie einfach nicht mehr machen. Und allein mit dem Schlitten losziehen – käme ich mir doof bei vor. Na und dann noch der Klimawandel – da nutzen auch die Wintersport-Gebiete vor der Haustür wenig. Auch wenn dieses Wochenende ja ... 😢 Tat uns beiden weh, aber nun haben wir den Schlitten verkauft.

Heute kam Muter mit 2 kleinen Kindern auf Kleinanzeige (von gestern) hin, nahm uns auch noch eine Zu-verschenken-Silikonbackform ab. Kaufpreis-Geld bekam ich von von den Kindern in die Hand gedrückt. Hat Martina erst nachgezählt, als die 3 schon wieder weg waren. Und – Beschiss! Die hatten uns doch glatt 10 € zu viel gegeben 😍

Ich stolperte auf Mastodon über das – wie ich finde – sehr interessante Video, das vielerlei Gedanken, die ich auch schon im Kopf hatte, klarer geordnet zeigt. Klingt interessant, ich habe auf https://sproutsschools.com/ mal den Newsletter abonniert.

Ich hatte bei wordpress.com um ein eindeutiges Statement seitens Matthew Mullenweg zu den Vorgängen Venezuela / USA und seinem Verhältnis zu Donald Trump gebeten. Bekam tatsächlich eine Antwort eines Supportmitarbeiters (oder einer Mitarbeiterin): "... kann dazu nichts sagen ..."

Und eine E-Mail mit Bitte um Bewertung der Servicequalität. Die mit Totem Link zum Zendesk-Ticket:
